FaithWorks specializes in three mission types: Children, Construction, and Medical. Any mission can feature any or all of the mission types. If you have any reservations about volunteering, we will be happy to address your concerns. Contact us directly.

ARE YOU SENSING GOD’S CALL?

Christ’s call to faith with action compels FaithWorks to seek out feasible, valid mission projects suffering real needs. We consult with our volunteers to prepare for success and seek out additional volunteers based upon requirements. If necessary, we will train volunteers in order to ensure success of the mission. FaithWorks effectively leads the trip and executes the project, keeping volunteers focused.

Our missions are completed by dedicated volunteers from all walks of life, with unique skills and gifts. Each is fulfilling God’s purpose for them. Only as a group are we able to achieve the “grand” results. We aim to change the world one nail, one patient, one child at a time.

CAN FAITHWORKS COORDINATE OTHER MISSIONS?

Tony Casali is responsible for developing future projects. The criteria for selecting projects include:

  • The ministry’s purpose is consistent with FaithWorks’ mission and values.
  • The ministry is in need of the assistance and is itself involved in addressing its needs.
  • There is no other organization or group of persons better able to help than is FaithWorks.
  • FaithWorks can be of valuable assistance at the time the ministry needs it.
  • Adopting this project will help FaithWorks’ Christian witness.
  • When a project is selected, local people involved in that project are expected to be an integral part of the team during the building process. In the planning stages they agree, for example, to provide construction volunteers, meals, housing, ground transportation, building materials or equipment. The nature of the local ministry’s efforts are a part of the process of planning from the outset.

From home and on-site, prayer forms an important component to our success. If you think your project might meet these criteria, contact us today!

CHILDREN’s MISSION

Who can go on a Children’s Ministry mission trip? Anyone, adult or youth who has a love for kids and who has no legal restrictions. Missioners who’ve been successful and happy in this ministry have done several things in ministering to children wherever we’ve gone. Examples include:

  • Bible stories using conventional classroom presentations.
  • Felt-board stories.
  • Drama and acting.
  • Musical presentations.
  • Recreational play: frisbee, field games, etc.
  • Sidewalk chalk.
  • Finger and face painting.
  • Hiking and picnicking.

All persons working with children through FaithWorks must provide references that can validate their work with children, satisfying the requirements of the mission site where we go.

Construction Mission

These are mission trips designed to assist needy mission sites with expertise, labor and in some cases materials. Persons with talent and ability in existing building fix-up or new construction are needed. Although licensed professionals in all trades are particularly valuable, any able person is welcome to participate.

Generally, the following criteria are what we follow:

  • Team size, 10-12 persons, first-come, first-serve.
  • Persons must be healthy enough for the work.
  • Adults and youth are welcome, men and women both needed.
  • Children are permitted on selected trips – must be accompanied by an adult family member.
  • Specific tools required on some jobs.
  • Lodging varies with sites on overnight trips.
  • Special one-day trips, locally.
  • Special accommodations for diet and physical needs.
  • Cost varies with trip length and location.

Medical Mission

Medical mission trips are provided so that the ministry of healing and healthcare can be a vital part of the complete Christian experience on the mission field. Generally, we provide a total of four medical mission trips per year. Most missions are planned for Sonora, Mexico. Over the years, we have also conducted medical missions to Africa and are exploring the Philippines. We employ the following considerations:

  • Each missioner has to have the proper current licensing in their area of medical expertise.
  • Must possess a current passport.
  • Have all the required immunizations for the particular area [recommended by CDC, Atlanta].
  • Be healthy enough to endure long hours.
  • Adults and youth only.

Note: Although the team is always centered around medical professionals, we also have to have ‘support personnell’ I.e.: van drivers, pharmacy assistants, building fix-up ‘handyman’, persons to manage crowd control, children’s workers and interpreters.
